If a Hearthstone structural component ever fails to perform as engineered, we make it right — or you get your money back. No other builder in log or timber frame will put that in writing.
Every hewn timber, frame member, and log wall carries the guarantee for the life of the original owner.
Not a marketing line — a signed clause in every Hearthstone build agreement.
Our own crews raise the frame wherever the site sits, so accountability never changes hands.
A True Story · 1986
Deep in the North Carolina mountains, a customer had spent years saving — literally, cash in a coffee can — for his Hearthstone log home. We delivered and raised the cabin. The next day, word came back that he was near a breakdown. After all those years of saving, he was disappointed.
Our president drove to the site. A couple of details weren’t our best work — an easy day’s fix. But the client couldn’t bear the thought of a “fixed” cabin. So we did something unprecedented: we took the cabin down and delivered him a new one.
From that moment came the guarantee below — written by owner Randy Giles, without a single lawyer allowed to dilute it. First issued March 27, 1987. Modified for Timber Frames on March 27, 1988. In fifty‑five years, nobody in the housing business has matched it.

How It Works
The money‑back clause lives inside every Hearthstone Purchase Agreement — not a marketing page.
Hearthstone crews travel worldwide to erect the shell, so accountability never changes hands.
Before we leave the site, you see the structure raised. If it isn't right, you say so.
We correct the work, or we dismantle the structure and return your money. In writing, since 1987.
“We’ve been building timber legacies since 1971. If we couldn’t stand behind every peg and dovetail, we wouldn’t drive the peg.”
